Cupcake Fun Run ©
The Cupcake Run started with 11 runners running with Tory on her 45th birthday on the Centennial Trail. Everyone ran either 45k (about a marathon) or 22.5 k (about a half marathon) and at the end, we all had cake to celebrate! The entry fee was a donation to the Marysville Food Bank. And thus history was born...
This year's race will help two families in need. The Saturday race will help Brayden Knowles. Brayden was in a serious auto accident on Dec 26 and suffered a traumatic brain injury. He is doing GREAT, but has a long road of recovery ahead of him.
Sunday's race will support the family of a mother undergoing her second round of colon cancer. This sweet angel is raising four children on her own, while undergoing treatment for stage four cancer.
While our need is great this year, we know our running family will meet that need. When the need is great, the heart just grows to meet the need!
