Date – Kids Race, 5k, 10k March 24
Half marathon/Marathon March 25
Highlights – Kid's races are always free and are generally around half a km. All participants get a unique medal and a cupcake at the finish line!
Volunteers get a FREE entry into the race (volunteer Saturday, run on Sunday or vice versa). You may also provide a volunteer, and run for free.
Run both Saturday and Sunday and earn extra bling! Run the 5k or 10k on Saturday and the half marathon or marathon on Sunday and you can join us for our second "Take the Cake Challenge!!"
The Cupcake Run started with 11 runners running with Tory on her 45th birthday on the Centennial Trail. Everyone ran either 45k (about a marathon) or 22.5 k (about a half marathon) and at the end, we all had cake to celebrate! The entry fee was a donation to the Marysville Food Bank. And thus history was born...
Since that sunny Saturday in March of 2010, Cupcake has grown from 11 people to a weekend of five races in March; a kids race, 5k, 10k, half marathon, and marathon.
Our 2018 race will be the third weekend in March, on the 24 and 25 (Tory’s birthday again!!!!!!). Registration will open on December 15!
